Learn MoreWhy the Bay of Fundy?
The Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides on Earth — over 16 metres of vertical change between high and low tide. Twice a day, 160 billion tonnes of water surge through the bay, creating a natural phenomenon unlike anything else on the planet. Our tidal bore rafting takes you right into the heart of it.
The Shubenacadie River, just minutes from our base in South Maitland, produces some of the most thrilling tidal bores in the world — standing waves of chocolate-brown water that will drench you, spin you, and leave you grinning from ear to ear.
