About Us

Local guides, world-class tides

Our Story

Fundy Tidal Expeditions was founded in 2014 by Marcus and Joelle Chen, two marine biology graduates who fell in love with the Bay of Fundy during a research stint at the Cobequid Bay field station. What started as informal raft trips for friends quickly became a real business when word got out about the world's highest tides — and the ridiculous fun of riding them.

Today, we're the top-rated outdoor adventure operator in Hants County, with over 10,000 happy adventurers and a perfect safety record. We still run every trip with the same philosophy: respect the river, know the tides, and make sure everyone leaves grinning.
