What to Bring
Change of clothes
You WILL get soaked on the raft. Bring dry clothes to change into afterward.
Water shoes or old sneakers
No flip-flops or bare feet. Anything you wear on the raft will get muddy.
Sunscreen & hat
The river reflects UV. Apply waterproof sunscreen before arrival.
Waterproof phone case
We provide a souvenir photo, but if you want your own shots, waterproof everything.
Towel
We have basic towels, but bring your own for comfort.
Leave behind
Jewelry, watches, wallets — leave valuables locked in your car.

Directions
From Halifax (1 hour): Take Highway 102 North to Exit 10 (Truro/Shubenacadie). Follow Highway 236 East toward South Maitland for 15 km. Our base is on the left — look for the orange "Fundy Tidal Expeditions" sign.
From Windsor (40 minutes): Take Highway 14 East to Highway 236. We're 20 km past Shubenacadie.

Parking: Free gravel lot for 30+ vehicles. RVs and buses welcome.
Arrive: Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure for check-in and safety briefing.
Frequently Asked Questions
We operate rain or shine — tidal bore rafting is just as fun (maybe more fun) in the rain. We only cancel for severe thunderstorms or dangerously high winds. If we cancel, you get a full refund or free reschedule.
No. All participants wear Coast Guard-approved personal flotation devices (PFDs). Our rafts are extremely stable commercial-grade Zodiacs. That said, you should be comfortable being in and around water.
Classic Raft: 12+ (under 16 with adult). Sunset Kayak: 8+ (under 12 with adult). Family Explorer: 6+ (with parent/guardian). Private charters can be customized for younger groups.
You need to be able to board and hold on to a raft. There's no paddling required on the raft tours — the tide does the work. Kayak tours require moderate upper body fitness. If you have concerns, call us and we'll find the right tour for you.
No. For safety and insurance reasons, all participants must use our equipment. Our kayaks are specifically chosen for tidal conditions.
Yes. We have basic changing rooms and outdoor showers at our base. Bring your own towel and change of clothes.
Our base facility is wheelchair accessible. The Sunset Kayak tour can accommodate some mobility limitations — call us to discuss. The raft tours require the ability to climb into and hold on inside a Zodiac.
